My Practice

My virtual counselling practice is grounded in warmth, compassion and a deep belief in the strength and wisdom of the people I work with. While I welcome individuals of all ages and backgrounds, I specialize in supporting children, adolescents, young adults and their parents/caregivers. I’m continually inspired by the resilience, curiosity and capacity for growth that individuals bring to the process.

With a calm, validating presence, I strive to create a steady and grounded space that supports co-regulation to help sooth the nervous system and foster a sense of safety. My approach is flexible and person-centered, drawing from a range of modalities including solution-focused therapy, narrative therapy, attachment theory and positive psychology.

I have a particular passion for grief therapy and supporting individuals through experiences of loss. My own life experiences have shown me that in moments of deep sorrow, it’s often not advice or answers we need but the quiet presence of someone who can hold space for us. I know the power of bearing witness when words fall short and I am honoured to offer that to others.

No matter what you are navigating, I am here to meet you where you are at. I work from a trauma-informed and social justice lens with an ongoing commitment to self-reflection and learning. It is a privilege to hold space for others and to walk alongside them as they find their way forward.

Why Virtual Counselling?

Virtual counselling offers flexibility, comfort, and accessibility - allowing you to connect from a space that feels safe and familiar, without the added stress of travel or scheduling constraints. Many people find that being in their own environment helps them open up more easily. Whether you're a busy student, a working parent, or simply prefer the ease of online connection, virtual therapy can provide meaningful, effective support that meets you where you are, both literally and emotionally.

My Story

Before becoming a clinical counsellor, I spent seven years working as an educator. While I loved building relationships with students, I began to feel less inspired by teaching curriculum and more drawn to the meaningful and sometimes difficult, conversations that happened outside of traditional learning. This shift in focus led me to return to school myself, where I pursued a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (with honours).

Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working as a school counsellor across all education levels—elementary, middle and secondary. These experiences have deepened my understanding of the unique challenges and strengths that come with each stage of development and they’ve affirmed my belief in the power of early, compassionate support. Along the way, I also discovered how much I value supporting parents and caregivers, offering guidance and connection as they navigate the complexities of raising and relating to their children.

Now, as a registered clinical counsellor, I bring the same curiosity, care, and commitment to connection that guided me as a teacher. My background in education continues to inform my work, especially when supporting adolescents and their caregivers. I strive to create a space where people feel safe, seen and supported as they navigate their stories and move toward growth and healing.
